Man United Fan Blog 2012-13 November 17th

A bit of fun before the weekend's fixtures!

Luis Suarez is happy to stay at Liverpool for many years according to the BBC website. Fair enough, they deserve each other. But why the rumours? Man City are allegedly interested, I'm sure he'd get on well with Tevez, and could they be lining him up as a replacement for Balotelli? Is there another Cantona situation here? Is Fergie listening?

Shame to see Altrincham lost to Burton in the FA Cup. Took my back to the halcyon days of the seventies when Altrincham used to knock out league sides every season. They still hold the distinction of being the only non league club to reach the third round in four consecutive seasons, and they were the last non league club to win at a top flight ground (Birmingham 85/86).

Everyone must by now have seen the Ibrahimovic fourth goal against England, and it was a cracker. What was Joe Hart doing? Covering for his absent defence. Hart came in for a lot of criticism, but he is still one of the main reasons City won the league, and who is better. I'd have like to have seen the Celtic keeper Fraser Forster given a chance, and probably their centre forward Gary Hooper too.

And talking of great goals, did you see Neymar's in the 1-1 draw against Colombia in New York. Neymar is obviously class, and the brilliance of his goal was matched only by his ludicrous penalty miss in the same game. He would fit in really well at OT, a brilliant player who struggles from the spot.

The police have announced that they are not pursuing a complaint against Mark Clattenburg issued by the Society of Black Lawyers (would we be allowed to have a Scoiety of White Lawyers or would that be raciset?). We now await the outcome of the FA investigation which should be next week. In the meantime Clattenburg misses out on another week, and this is a striking difference to the way John Terry was treated as he continued playing for months whilst his case was investigated.

Sounds like a right old ding dong at the Emirates where Spurs went one up through Adebayor who then got sent off. By half time Arsenal had bagged three, and it looks all over. Full results service later!
